Surinam Pacman Frog (Ceratophrys cornuta)
The Surinam Pacman Frog is one of the most striking members of the Pacman Frog family, recognised for its distinctive horn-like projections above the eyes, robust build and powerful feeding response. Characterful, fascinating and rewarding to observe, these impressive amphibians are a favourite amongst frog enthusiasts.
Naturally adapted to humid tropical environments, Surinam Pacman Frogs thrive in appropriately maintained enclosures with moisture-retaining substrate, suitable humidity and secure hiding opportunities. As ambush predators, they spend much of their time partially buried while waiting for prey, displaying the classic behaviours that make Pacman Frogs so popular.
